Nine and Ten

Quietly, and without fuss, the production of Dayglo Fishermen's new album continues.

Following a very successful recording session at Cozmic Studios in February, the focus of activity has now returned to Mammoth Studios, the band's exclusive hillside production facility on the southern edge of London.

During the unusually frigid months of March and early April the album's ninth song entered production. Most details of the track are classified but those that are available promise a laid-back tempo anchored to a rich bass line with layers of smooth keyboards.  Melodic guitars and vocals are to come later.  More will be known once the final touches are put in place over the coming months.

With the ninth song's drums, bass and keyboards complete it will come as no surprise to learn that the album's tenth song entered production last week.  It's at a very early stage, but the up-tempo track is already said to be shaping up to be one of the album's highlights.

There's an awful lot of work still to do, but the new album is currently on schedule to be released sometime in 2014.
